This sites concept was simply Facebook and YouTube for the Children!

Ok, it doesn't have nearly as many features as Facebook, but it's a social networking site nonetheless... only dedicated to school children only.

The site has two main areas, one is for the children and mentors, and the other is for the teachers. The teachers area doesn't consist of as much as the children's area, but is essentially just a place for the teachers to moderate their school childrens activities on the site.

The kids area however has many cool features to it. Each child has their own personal profile page that they can "pimp" with different colours, fonts, images, backgrounds etc. This leads to the many other areas they have, eg mail, blogs, friends etc.

The main goal of the site is to promote music to the younger generation. So budding young artists can upload music to their profile, and others can view, comment and rate their music. The child can upload the music in a video file (eg. wmv, mp4 etc), record themselves there and then via a webcam, or simply upload a audio file (eg. wma, mp3 etc). Every user even has their own playlist on the right, and can add tracks as they go along so they can play back each track at ease.

Currently only school children can register, and this is confirmed by the school they select on registration.

The site is quite big, and therefore took a few months to build, but it was the first full-on social networking site I have built, and I am now in the process of doing a MUCH bigger social networking site for another client (at the time of writing this that is).
