Rearrange your Windows taskbar items

When I was a Microsoft Windows user, I was very fussy with the order of my open tasks in the taskbar at the bottom (on the start menu bar if you like). If I had programs opened up in the wrong order, I would have to close all the programs back to that point and re-open them... OCD I hear you mutter, yeah probably, but it annoyed me :)

I did find a tool that done this for me a long time ago, but it didn't really work well in Windows XP (that was the latest Windows OS at the time) so I dropped it and just carried on doing it the long way.

Well just before I made the switch to Mac OS X, I did find a very cool tool that done exactly what I wanted... and it is free! The tool is called Taskbar Shuffle. It does exactly what I always wanted with a simple drag and drop interface. So if my taskbar was like: Mozilla Thunderbird | Adobe Photoshop CS3 | Navicat for MySQL | HomeSite and I wanted to move HomeSite in front of Navicat, all I'd have to do was drag the HomeSite taskbar item in front of the Navicat one and its done! It also works for the System Tray (by pressing CTRL and dragging).

The tool worked perfectly for me, and was very easy to use. If you want this feature, then look no further... until Microsoft pull their socks up and add it themselves of course!
